Car Share and DIgital Innovation Project
During the time when our society began shifting to a more sharing culture, Hertz decided to expand its business scope and geographic footprint around the world. Through the initiative, Hertz redefined and reimagined its brand in all areas, including its core business, car rental reservations.
As a result, the company had the opportunity to transform itself and reshape the way people view "a car rental" as a worldwide leader in smart mobility solutions.
Our Objective
In order to transition people from traditional shop-and-compare rental car behaviors, into a book-and-go mentality that is event focused, we needed to create dynamic and personal usage occasions that associate, communicate, and demonstrate the spirit of Traveling at the Speed of Hertz.
Taking into consideration the consumer behavior shifts, we also needed to energize and move the brand identity into a lifestyle look showcasing mobility.
We need to continue to advance and emphasize our technology-driven efficiencies, customer service initiatives, and a portfolio of car, equipment, and entertainment rental services. As these are the key to meeting the ever-changing on-demand needs of consumers.
We developed the first-ever keyless pinpad entry for Hertz
Design development activities focused on prototype concepts, vehicle placement, LED refinements, keypad typogrpahy, and RFID iconography and interactions.
As lead art director, I was responsible for primary research on similar products, concept prototypes working with a 3D designer, thinking through LED signal system, and interactions.
